Thinking of visiting? We hope you will attend a Sunday morning service (held at 10:30 AM, both in person and on Zoom)…or our informal Sunday Social Hour (held at 11:30 AM)…or both! There is always a warm welcome to visitors at First UU Church.

When you visit, we hope you will help yourself to the UU pamphlets and other free materials in our foyer. The UU faith values personal spiritual experiences, the quest for truth and justice both personally and in the wider world, and a strong sense of community and inclusion. You can also learn more by visiting our parent organization, the Unitarian Universalist Association (see link at right).

We are located in a quiet rural spot just a few minutes from downtown Indiana, Pennsylvania. (Please scroll down for driving directions.) We have ample free parking. Our church building includes the original Sanctuary (home to the beautiful blue “chalice” stained glass window on our main page); Grauer Hall, our social hall, complete with a commercial kitchen; and an array of classrooms. We’d be happy to show you around!

From downtown Indiana, PA:

From the corner of 7th and Philadelphia Streets, go east on Philadelphia Street (toward the lower numbered cross streets) for about 0.8 miles. After crossing 2nd Street, bear right (East) on East Pike Road. Stay on East Pike Road for about 0.3 miles. Turn right on Twolick Drive. Go straight on Twolick Drive for about 0.4 miles. First Unitarian Universalist Church is on the left. Turn into the driveway, go uphill on the driveway to the parking lot.

From Blairsville (and points south):

Take US-119 N/William Penn Hwy.

Merge onto PA-1004 W. toward PA-286/Clymer/Indiana.

Turn slight left onto PA-286 W.

Turn left onto East Pike Road.

Turn right onto Twolick Dr.

Church is on the left.

From Ebensburg (and points east):

Take 422 West/Benjamin Franklin Hwy.

Take the PA-954 ramp toward 6th St.

Turn right onto PA 954/S. 6th St.

Turn right onto lower Twolick Drive.

From downtown Johnstown:

Take PA-56.

Turn slight right onto PA-954.
