Community & Fellowship

At First UU, we love to spend time together! (That’s just one reason we refer to our congregation as the “beloved community.”) We hold Social Hour in Grauer Hall each Sunday morning at about 11:30 AM, immediately following our worship service.

Holidays are a very special time here at First UU Church. Our celebrations include a family dinner and caroling by candlelight, usually concluding with “Silent Night.”
Our church celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2018 — and we decided to do a fundraiser dance evoking the 1950s! Many members attended in period dress. We enjoyed vintage decorations, music, dancing, and even some “throwback” recipes.
In the spring of 2017, we broke ground on our Building Expansion Project. Reverend Joan blessed the groundbreaking ceremony, and work began on creating more classrooms and a large social hall with a commercial kitchen (now Grauer Hall).
