The First UU annual quilt show
The First UU annual quilt show, “The Warmth of Community,” was made up of finely crafted historic and contemporary quilts. These locally owned and hand-crafted quilts represent many aspects of living. The public spent time viewing this art form on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 11 AM – 1 PM from January 26 through March 24th. First UU children, Hannah Baumer, Stella Chepaitis, and Haley Baumer are shown examining the quilt, “Cats at Play.” This quilt was hand-stitched and embroidered by Mary Thompson, grandmother of Adam Thompson, as his present for his fifth birthday. This quilt is on loan from Adam, McCandless Township.
