Day of Remembrance

This morning we held our annual Day of Remembrance Service at First UU.

I am sorry that I could not share my closing prayer, because it is my wish for all of the members and friends of our congregation.  I offer it here for your reflection.

As we leave this place of love and acceptance, may we remember:
Our loved ones who have passed from this realm;
To offer words of comfort to and share moments of silent understanding  with those who are grieving;
To accept this gift of life for the blessing it is and the sacredness it holds;
To offer words and deeds of love in each of our encounters every day;
And to know, that peace does come and can be attained on this earth.
