Fun & Fund Raising Events

At First UU we annually raise approximately $12,000 through our Fun & Fund Raising events. We believe that raising money doesn’t have to be a chore.  Our funds are raised by hosting FUN social events.  Annual Fun & Fund Raising events include:

Holiday Dinner – An opportunity to put on your holiday best, bring your special china and crystal place settings and a covered dish to church for an evening of food and singing.  This year’s dinner will be held on Sunday, December 18 at 5 p.m..

Goods and Services Auction – Our most profitable event for raising both fun and funds. Goods offered include theme baskets, furniture, artwork, and collectibles.  Also bid on  rides to the airport, child care, a mystery dinner, Thank GUS (the Great Universal Spirit)    It’s Friday, help with yard work and house repairs.  Professional Auctioneer Mike           Chernago  creates a fun and entertaining evening.  Child care is provided.

Winter Soup & Bread Lunches – During the winter months join us once a month after the    Sunday service for a bowl of soup and bread.  Those attending are invited to bring salads and desserts to share.  A “Give as you are able basket” sits at the end of the serving table.  All proceeds support our Minister’s Discretionary Aide Fund.
