For the time-strapped, it's about the easiest way to serve: show up 15 minutes early, stand by the door, and say hello to folks -- ok, AND be available to answer any questions -- that's about it. In return, I've gotten to know more and more people as they arrive (and it's nice that they recognize me). Oh, did I mention? Greeters get lots of smiles and greetings in return -- maybe even hugs! Not bad for an extra 15 minutes, hmm? I have enjoyed being a greeter here.
