Joy Behr, coordinator for the Love Basket program, is shown accepting food and a check for $904 to assist those in food distress at the First Unitarian Universalist (First UU) Church of Indiana. During the summer months, the First UU conducted its on-going Social Justice “Give-Away-the-Plate” collection for the Love Basket program. Social Justice activism supporting local agencies combating food deprivation in Indiana County continues to be a priority for children enrolled in the Religious Exploration program and the congregation at large.

Shown standing are Joy Behr, Love Basket Coordinator; Rev. Joan M. Sabatino, First UU minister; and Karen Brown, First UU Board of Trustees’ Treasurer. Religious Exploration students seated are Derek, Micah, and Eva Miller, children of Megan Miller.
